March Favourites (Beauty and Lifestyle)

17:58

Its time for my very first favourites post! This favourites will be mostly beauty with a couple of lifestyle favourites too.

In February I purchased the infamous Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette.  I haven't bought a pre-made eyeshadow palette in a long time, and I'm so happy I did. The hype is real with this! These shadows are quality, with creamy mattes and pigmented shimmer shades. My go to shades are; Coconut Creme, Butter Creme, Frosting, Peanut Butter, Truffled, Bon Bon, Caramel and Cocoa Chilli.

Another cult favourite which I've fallen in love with is Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks. I purchased three shades with his holiday launch: Androgyny, Doll Parts and Celebrity Skin. Celebrity Skin I wear almost every day! Long wearing, non drying, and the most unique and perfect brown nude colour! Doesn't necessarily wear well through eating a meal, but it's the kind of formula which allows for touch ups throughout wear. I purchased it through Beautylish and I cannot recommend ordering through them enough. Speedy shipping to Australia and a follow up text to make sure you received your order okay.

Also via Beautylish I ordered the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream after hearing rave reviews. For everyday wear I'm a big fan of CC and BB creams, so naturally, I had to try. This product comes in 5 shades (Fair, Light, Medium, Tan & Rich), and I wear the shade Light, although in winter I will definitely be more suited to Fair if I'm not fake tanning.  It Cosmetics promises 'covers everything, will not crease or crack in fine lines, and gives a healthy, Your Skin But Better glow', and I can say it certainly delivers on all of those aspects. They also describe it as a multi tasking 'beauty miracle' which acts as a day cream, anti-aging serum, pore minimising primer, skin brightener, dark spot corrector, full coverage foundation and sun protection (SPF 50+).  Although a beauty miracle is a pretty big call, this is a pretty great product and I would certainly repurchase and recommend trying, particularly for those with dry skin. Also a favourite has been mixing in the Body Shop Lightening drops with this, which I've got a full post on here

Although I picked up my Becca Cosmetics Afterglow Palette several months ago, I've honestly hardly used it, and now I don't know why! I tried it out briefly during summer, but it's since been shoved to the back of my draws. I pulled it out again a couple of days ago when I had to move out of my room while my lights were redone. Its a great multi tasker, with three highlights and two blushes. I picked mine up from Ulta via Shop and Box (great forwarding service!), but for Australian's you can buy it now on either Sephora Aus or Beautylish.

Finally, two lifestyle faves! I recently picked up the Kikki K diary for $20 on special, which is week-to-page, just how I like it! I also recently upgraded to the iPhone 6s Plus, which created the problem of where the hell does my phone go when I'm at the gym?! My solution to this was the Flipbelt, which is essentially a belt pouch which you can slide keys, cards, money and your phone into. Made my transition to the Plus that much easier.

Hope you guys enjoyed this read,

Em xx
